The Mercedes-Benz 300 SL (W198) "Gullwing" is a two-seater coupé and convertible model from the German automaker Mercedes-Benz, designed and styled by designer Friedrich Geiger. It was marketed from 1954 to 1963 and has since become legendary among dream cars.
It is considered the most iconic of the Mercedes produced after World War II for its originality, technical qualities, and aesthetic appeal.
